House of Guineas provides specialized in-home care for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, hamsters, reptiles and birds across San Francisco and the Peninsula. Ours is a veterinary-informed team of exotic pet professionals, trained specifically in exotic species.
Routine care is the heart of what we do — Deep Cleans, Upkeep, and Nail Trims on a standing schedule, keeping the enclosure clean and your pet checked over by expert eyes. And when a trip comes up, our travel sitting means your pet is cared for by a team they already know.
Routine In-Home Care
Standing weekly or every-other-week visits in your pet’s own home — the upkeep handled, so your time together is play and cuddles, not chores.
Three standing plans, from $105/visit. Every visit comes with a gentle wellness check — a look at habitat temps and UVB and a trained eye for early signs of trouble — plus a photo update. Because exotics hide illness until it’s serious, consistent expert eyes catch small things before they become big ones.
Deep Clean — weekly or every other week
The full enclosure reset: everything out, surfaces scrubbed and disinfected, bedding and liners swapped, hides and bowls washed.
- Weekly — $105/visit for 1 hour (~$450/month) · $185/visit for 2 hours (~$795/month)
- Every other week — $115/visit for 1 hour (~$245/month) · $195/visit for 2 hours (~$420/month)
Upkeep — weekly or every other week
Spot-cleaning, liners and litter refreshed, hay restocked, chop prepped, fresh water, and enrichment rotated.

In-Home Pet Sitting While You Travel
Visits in the comfort of your pet’s home for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, hamsters, reptiles and birds.
From $95/visit. Twice-daily care from $155/day.
From precise reptile habitat management and avian dietary needs, to the gentle handling of small mammals, we help prevent the stress and anxiety often caused by abrupt changes in their environment. Your home is your pet’s safe-haven; our veterinary-informed team keeps your pet’s world consistent while you’re away.
Every visit includes species-specific feeding, fresh water, medication administration if needed, enrichment, and photo updates. Light home care (tidying, plants, mail) is included on request.
